Hi, I’m Jen, the person behind Paint with Jen.
Art has always been part of my life, but for a long time I was on the other side of the easel: a guest at paint nights, drink in hand, having the best time. Eventually one painting a month wasn’t enough, so I challenged myself to keep going, practicing and learning until “beginner’s luck” turned into actual skill.
Meanwhile, my day job was a hotel training specialist, which meant my whole job was helping people learn something new and feel good about it. Somewhere between those two worlds, a thought landed: I can do this. I can help someone create something they’re proud to take home. Or, at the very least, help them relax, laugh, and have a great night.
That’s Paint with Jen. After five years teaching paint nights in Utah, I’ve brought it to western North Carolina. I show up with the canvases, paint, and step-by-step instruction wherever you are: your living room, your office, your favorite brewery, your bachelorette party. No experience needed and no pressure to be perfect. Just good company, a little chaos, and something you’ll actually want to hang on your wall.
To make Paint with Jen Western North Carolina’s favorite creative night out: the one people book for birthdays, team nights, and “we just needed a night out.” I want every guest to leave knowing you don’t need talent to make something worth hanging on your wall.
To bring a full paint night to wherever you’re already gathered: canvas, paint, step-by-step instruction, setup, and cleanup. Every guest gets permission to be a beginner, a few good laughs, and a painting they’re proud to take home.
